Louie

I recently watched the first two seasons of Louie. About halfway through the second season, I began thinking to myself, “You know what? This is the best television series I have ever seen in my life.” And by “the best,” I mean that I connect with it in a more profound way, intellectually and emotionally speaking, than I have with any other TV series. I admit that I did not like how Season 2 ended, with Louie and Pamela at the airport, because Louie’s cluelessness in that scene seemed incongruous with his (often painful) recognition of life’s realities in the rest of the series. But besides that, wow. What a total home run that show is.
